You?ve seen audio books in many formats, haven’t you? Recorded books, as they are also called, come on CDs and tapes. The latest technology has created MP3 books. As weird as it may sound, many people like recorded books on tape better than books on CD. Read along to learn why.

Although CDs are great, but when it comes to listening to recorded books, books on tape are the long-term consumer?s favorite.

As a sideline, MP3 books are the new kids on the block. They offer even more flexibility and convenience. Above all formats, MP3 books cut out the fancy packaging, the mail carrier or extra shopping trips. How would an instant download at home suit your busy schedule?

Overall, their superior storage, unnoticeable portability and better price make them superior above other formats so far.

But what?s with recorded books on tape being superior to books on CD?

1. Most audio books on CD are incapable of holding more than 75 minutes of content. On the other hand, books on tape cram 90 plus minutes of voice-over.

Sure, you can have the complete audio book copied out over several CDs. But who wants to haul around a heavyweight case with CDs, right?

So, a few tape cassettes will do you for a particular audio book. In contrast, you will need many more CDs for that same audio book.

2. Would you spend extra money for audio books on CD when you can get the same book on tape (or in MP3 format) for less?

Here?s a quick example to explain:

An unabridged version of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” slims down to nest in 12 audiotapes. It sells for a mere $31.96 on the Barnes & Noble. Ready for the CD numbers now? The same version there, on CDs, costs roughly double the amount – $55.96. And you?ll have 5 more items to handle ?cause there are 17 sets of CDs.

Now, you are thinking ? ?What a rip off!?
Whoa!

It?s far from being fleeced. CDs simply cost much more time and money to produce. Because of the extra outlays, the price tag is higher than the one for the tapes.

3. This one?s clear. When you turn off your CD player while listening to an audio book, often, you won’t be able to carry on from the exact spot you left off. With a tape, you can continue from the exact track location you left off.

Imagine how annoying this can be if you are driving and you turn off your car. You?d need to kick-start the audio book CD and patiently locate the spot where you stopped at.

If you have a more advanced CD player that saves your location when you turn off your car, then it?s no problem until ?
You shut off the car and pull out the CD.
Oops.

If you do the same with an audiocassette, the spot where you left off is waiting for you when you push the tape back into the player.

4. You may or may not agree with me here. Audio books, after all, are narrations. Many recorded books enthusiasts are smart. They say ??Why would I spend the extra cash to buy CDs because of recording quality level when I can snatch near enough the same quality on audiotapes for much less??

It boils down to the reality that a human voice recording has little to gain in depth and clarity when recorded on a CD as an alternative of a tape cassette.

Recorded books are here to stay. You, too, may prefer books on tape over books on CD. The tape benefits clearly outweigh the ones of CDs. Have they surprised you at all?

With the entrance of MP3 players and MP3-enabled cellular phones, you can be in good company with audio books MP3 of your choice anywhere you go. The pure ease of use for MP3 books pushes them to the top of modern portable conveniences. They allow for a fun-on-the-go cruising or an educational makeover without trying to find the extra time.

If you have anything even close to a normal life, things are probably pretty hectic for you on a daily basis. Between work, the kids, and your social life (or lack thereof), it is easy for stress levels to get rather high, and that is okay. Stress is a natural response to things that are occurring in your environment. It is your body’s way of telling you that you have something in your life that needs to be taken care of. Sometimes, stress can get the best of you and that is when it is important to find a way to cope.

Has the thought of meditation ever crossed your mind? Meditation is one of the most common ways that people use to alleviate some of the stresses that occur in everyday life. It isn’t hard to meditate, but it does require a few certain elements that are required to maintain a certain atmosphere that is conducive to meditation. Here are a few tips that will help you to learn to meditate, and to do it the right way.

1. Create a Peaceful Atmosphere Creating a peaceful atmosphere is one of the first and most essential components of your meditation experience. Do whatever it takes to create as calm an atmosphere as you possibly can, through whatever measures possible. Send the kids off to the babysitter, let your husband go play poker with his buddies, and turn the ringer off on your phone. Turn the lights down low and put on whatever music makes you feel serene and peaceful. Choose the type of music that creates a sense of calm in you, whether it is Dave Koz or Metallica. Music sets the mood for reflection and contemplation.

2. Set Up Your Props When you are creating your peaceful atmosphere, there may be certain “props” to help you meditate. It isn’t required that you have one, but yoga mats or cushions are great seating arenas for meditation. Anything that allows you to sit cross-legged on the floor for an extended period of time without having you distracted by any discomfort in your legs will work for your meditation outfit. To put it frankly, if your rear end is killing you, you may not be able to focus as intensely on your meditation. Also, things that help you relax are also good to have in your environment during meditation. Many people like to have the small running water fountains as the sound of running water is soothing; lighting the room with candles is also an effective way of ’setting the mood’ for your meditation.

3. Wear Comfortable Clothing When it comes to meditation, leave the stilettos and the diamonds at home please! Anything that you can’t sit cross-legged in is not comfortable enough for meditation. Strangely, many people even choose to meditate in the buff, as it provides less of a distraction by the every day world.

If you haven’t seriously given the idea of meditation your rumination or given the idea some deliberation you should soon, while you can still save your sanity!

Most people in the Internet marketing arena know what a squeeze page is. However, most marketers that I’ve seen try to implement one do a terrible job. Therefore they get less than desirable results.

For the uninitiated, here’s a quick definition. A squeeze page is a webpage that, when the visitor “lands” on it, he is asked to opt-in to some type of list in order to proceed further. On some squeeze pages, your only options are to opt-in or leave. On others, you are given a method to continue exploring the site without opting in. Purist would argue that the second type isn’t a real squeeze page.

The rationale behind using a squeeze page is that most Internet marketers realize that the vast majority of visitor will not buy from a site on the first visit. So, these marketers make list building their top priority. If they can just collect the email address, along with permission to follow-up, then they’ll get other opportunities to make the sale later.

A squeeze page, generally, has some enticing bullets on it, and does a thorough job of describing what you’ll be able to access after you enter your data. The enticing offer on the squeeze page, that has the visitor salivating to get at what’s behind that “door,” is essential.

The most effective squeeze pages that I’ve seen, used enticing emails to drive traffic to the sites. These emails were either emailed by joint venture partners, or by the product owner who was introducing a new product.

That email that drove traffic to the squeeze page, sent them there already READY to sign up. That email, if it did its job, thoroughly described what was waiting on the site, and so the squeeze page was only a slight inconvenience. It was not enough of an inconvenience to be noticeably objectionable to those who were already thoroughly sold on the product concept.

The enticing email that does the pre-sell is a step many less- savvy marketers skip. Because their visitors aren’t pre-sold, their conversion rates are much lower than they would otherwise be.

There is actually a piece of software that will generate this type of squeeze page for you. That way, you don’t have to understand how to set up coding that tells the page how to pass variables from one page to the next. This software is called Squeeze Page Generator. You find it at: http://www.onlineprivatementor.com

When you visit the page above, enter your name and email address, and the demo will show YOU what your visitors will see when you use this software on your site.

I’ve tested Squeeze Page Generator on some of my sites, and it DOES increase conversions. I prefer using it where it’s less “in your face” as I’ve described above ;-)

When you use Squeeze Page Generator that way, your visitors feel more connected to you and your copy, but they don’t really know why. I think that makes it more effective.

Many online marketers do use squeeze pages, because, while they may irritate a small percentage of your visitors, they have been proven to increase your signup percentages. If they don’t opt-in to your list, then there’s no way for you to follow-up with those who don’t buy on that first visit. Consider adding squeeze pages to your marketing arsenal today.

Most people think wind power is cheap, envirementally friendly and a needed source of free reliable power. There is no free lunch. Windpower comes with costs. Wind companies deny the severity of the costs. Don’t be fooled. This article is for residents whose lives and properties are harmed by 450′ foot tall bird killing, flicker sound generators. Using the Green Giant Arborvitae To Block Windmills: Green Giant Arbs and Windmills in New York State

Our farm, Highland Hill Farm, is located in solid clay. We therefore like plants that grow well in dense, heavy, rather impermeable, NOT well-drained soils. One of the arbor vitae, the Green Giant,a hybred of the Western Redcedar Tree, or botanically, the Thuja Plicata, is our favorite tree to help block the effect operation of unsightly windmills. This is a great choice for the areas effected by windmills. Here is why: It is deer resistant, ez to plant, fast growing, and will help block the flow of air that must be available to operate windmills. Low or reduced air flow blocks the operation of windmills reducing noise and flicker of the mills. In addition wind mills that are not operating can not kill birds.

The hardiness zone the Green Giant Arbor vita tolerates is from zone 5 to zone 8. That’s where extreme cold temperatures get down to a temperate level of about 15 or 20 degrees in the winter (Zone 8), but also as low as a frigid level of 15 or 20 degrees BELOW zero (zone 5). Green giants are evergreens, being cedars. Their rapid growth rates can in ideal conditions reach 3 feet per year. Site requirements for the Green Giant Arborvita are sun to partial shade, moist well drained soil preferred (but still does well in clay), and protection from wind, at lest when young. These conditions are generally found near wind mills.

The Green Giant is a beautiful tree. It has an aesthetically fine form. It’s conical, being narrow to broadly pyramidal, reaching from 50 feet to 80 feet in height in southeastern Pennsylvania. This tree can reach 120 feet in some locations. The width at the base of the cone is usually about 15 feet to 20 feet. The leaves are rich green making graceful foliage. This makes it a great choice for windmill mitigation.

Green Giants make a superb privacy screen. Since this tree grows fast and tall, it is should be your first choice in plant mitigation selection. Not only visually, but there height can interfere with windmills catching the free flow of air by upsetting the wind patterns. It only takes a small decrease in wind velocity to stop some windmills as they do require a minimum operational windspeed to turn on. Small decreases in wind velocity on sites can render windmills unprofitable. They keep their foliage color year ’round, great for brightening bleak gray winter days with snow on the ground. Being evergreen, they will block windmills all year round. The cinnamon bright red bark when young turn rich russet brown with time crating a strong contrast with the needle leaves while helping to hide windmills.

Green Giants’ flowers, their fruit are pretty little light brown half-inch female cones. (Just so you know, Green giants are females, so its okay to call the cones pretty.) The Green Giant is also a wonderful shade tree, casting a dark, dense shade. The wood is strong too, once the tree is beyond its youth.

This is an arborvita that should outlive even your grandchildren and for sure the windmills. There are Green Giants out west documented to be over 300 years old. Just don’t plant these too close to the ocean, or roads in areas where there’s a lot of salt used for snow removal. If you get over 100 inches of snowfall and more per year, no roadside Arborvita planting where salt is used, PLEASE. The greatest soldier of ancient Greece in the Trojan war had his one little weak spot, what proved to be a fatal flaw, and the “Achilles Heel” for Green Giant Arbor vitae is hypersensitivity to salt.

If a windfarm comes to your area, you will need the fast growing Green Giant. You will want to protect your property from these Eagle chopping, bird and bat killing machines. Another major problem of windmills is a problem called shadow flicker. “Shadow flicker” – the effect of the sun shining at a low angle through the moving blades, which means they might have to be shut off at sunset and sunrise if built near houses or if a house is built near a windmill. This is an effect that wind farm operators try not to talk about. Public officials who want the tax dollars that are extracted from windmills fail to address this issue because less hours of operation means less tax dollars will be available. Public officials can take away your rights with a pen like a pacman, a bit at a time. You may not get any compensation to boot. You can call them and tell them that their job is to protect your rights not take them away. Please help us save our farms value. They don’t expect to be called. That is why you must do it. They remember the personal calls. Read this call to action and Help Us.

We just found out that there is a large wind mill farm being placed near our son’s property in Herkimer County NY. He will probably lose future uses of his property. There will be what is called a 1250′ setback requirement that means there will be no new development within that zone. His property will be in that zone. We have no problem with the windmills on the neighbors property, just don’t take away our property rights because of the neighbors use of his property. This amounts to a taking without compensation. I would call this legislative condemnation. It can happen to you. Bit by bit our public officials use zoning to suit their needs, not to protect ours. If one should not build with 1250′ of a wind mill why is a wind mill allowed to be built allowed to be located with 1250′ of an existing house? The answer is simple, the public officials don’t care about the citizens, they only care about their private agenda.

The pat few years have marked a real estate boom in Benidorm, Spain. Europeans from all parts of the continent have been flocking to Benidorm to buy property for their own uses or to rent out tourists as a wise investment. Benidorm Property is hot so you should seriously consider cashing in on this great investment. Read on if you want the best tips on buying property in Benidorm Spain.

You should start while you are still at home and read all you can online to find out the prices for different types of properties. You can also see photos and read about the properties while you are at it. The more educated you are when it comes to the market; the better off you will be when it is time to buy.

Traveling to Benidorm on more then one occasion can help you to decide on the perfect property for you tastes and needs. Each time you visit you should rent a different kind of property to experience something new in the area. Try to talk to your neighbors to get an idea of what the area is like and how long people have lived there for.

Make sure that you can afford the properties you are looking at. Besides the sticker price you need to think about the taxes, the maintenance, the fees to an agent, and the fees you will need to pay someone to rent out the place for you. All of these things can add up and you don’t’ want to get into a bad situation with a piece of property in Spain. Even if you plan on renting out the property you need to make sure you can afford the mortgage payments when the place is vacant.

Find a bilingual real estate agent when you are ready to buy. You will want someone who speaks both English and Spanish to help you negotiate the purchase. Even if you speak Spanish having an English speaking agent could help you out with your paper work. You can make an appointment before you get to Benidorm or while you are there to start viewing properties.

You will also need to hire a lawyer in Spain. You should also look for one who is bilingual and can help you understand any unfamiliar Spanish laws pertaining to your new property. You can use him to translate importance documents and understand fully all the conditions of your purchase.

You should also decide how you will use the property before you buy it. Do you want to live in it part of the year or mostly rent it out. Rental property is hot so you could be set if you choose to primarily rent it. Of course living there in the winter or summer is a great option so consider that too.

Winter can be better to live in Costa Blanca than the summer time. The winter is more peaceful and private. Summertime can be overwhelming if you want to experience a more peaceful and pleasant time.

We can never fully protect our homes and offices from burglary. But additional protection for our most valuable possessions is possible with the use of safes. Safes are used for storing our jewelries, documents and money. Safes are also for storing dangerous items like guns. Accidental gun injuries in the house are prevented when are armors are securely hidden from our children. Fireproof safes also protect our documents from destruction during fire or arson.

Safes are good investments for our homes and businesses. Before making a purchase, ask yourself the following questions and weigh your answers carefully:

1. How many items do I need to keep in a safe? Banks provide safes that you can lease to store small pieces of jewelry or a few documents. Safes from the stores are available in different sizes. Choose a safe that can meet your requirements but is also not too small in case you want to store more items in the future.

2. Do I need a fireproof safe? Safes made of fireproof material are more costly than the ordinary safe but provide greater protection to your valuables.

3. Where will I hide my safe? Plan an excellent place to situate your safe. The safe should be properly hidden but should also be accessible to the owner. Wall safes are designed to be hidden beneath paintings. Safes can also be installed by attaching them to the floor.

4. Do I want a safe with keys or a safe with a combination lock? Which type would be more convenient? Remember that codes have to be memorized and keys kept secure.

5. How much budget do I have for my safe? Always consider price versus durability and quality and purchase the most useful one that fits your budget.

6. Do I have armors in the house that I would like to store in a gun safe? If you?re not comfortable with this idea, you can store your armors at gun clubs to protect your children and maintain your peace of mind.

Fireproof safes provide good storage for items with sentimental and/or monetary value. You can choose to store these items in the bank but having fireproof safes in the convenience of your home provides you an easier access to your belongings. Check if the safe is fire resistant or fireproof. These terms are not the same. Fireproof ratings are computed by how much heat the safe can withstand for a certain period of time. Consider your requirements before choosing one paticular safe over the other.

Gun safes are high quality safes made of thick steel.

Rob Hargreaves – An American Locksmith

Gun safes are very durable and were manufactured to keep your armors secure. However, plan beforehand on where to position them in your house because drilling holes through them is not that easy.

Embarking on a workout routine and eating healthy is on most people?s minds. Their biggest complaints are that they don?t feel like exercising and they don?t have time to eat healthy. The ongoing question on their minds is ?how do you stay focused and motivated?? That is the million-dollar question. If you can stay focused and motivated then discipline would be second nature. To answer that question I turned to some of the most focused and dedicated people I know. Athletes, an athlete stays motivated and rarely takes their eye off of the finish line. What is the magic bullet to be motivated like an athlete?

One: being committed to something bigger than yourself. Look at the bigger picture. An athlete, sees the Olympics, they are getting the gold. You and I may not want that, but we do want something. Do you want to see your child graduate and raise a family? Make a commitment to them. I have always envisioned myself as a youthful mom, now that my daughter is in college; it feels good to be able to keep up with her.

Two: work with a coach, who has their eye on the goal, even when you don?t. Any good athlete has a coach, they push them, advice them and will not let them settle for less than they can be. This could be a personal trainer, a long time friend or a professional coach. Find someone who is committed to you keeping your commitment to yourself.

Three: being part of a winning team. There is nothing more exciting than to be part of a winning team. It is energizing and will make it easier to follow through. Part of the reason is that we keep our commitments to others and when your team is counting on you, it isn?t something you will take lightly. Where do you find a team? Join a workout class or team up with someone to be a workout buddy, you will encourage each other.

Four: do something that is fun for you. If exercise isn?t fun, you won?t do it. What is fun for you may not be fun for your mate. Find your fun form of exercise, look forward to it. Explore many types of exercise, I love kickboxing then I discovered Turbo Jam? what a blast that is. I shared it with my friends and now they are hooked.

So if you need a little encouragement, make a commitment to the bigger picture, talk to a coach, find a buddy, decide to have some fun and mOvE yOuR BoDy!

Vitamins Can Solve Many Problems, and May Even Lengthen Your Dog’s Life Span!<br><br>by Brigitte Smith<br><br>There is evidence to suggest that a good vitamin supplement for your dog not only helps prevent, improve or cure many degenerative type illnesses and disease, but may actually lengthen your dog’s life span. Really!<br><br>This is particularly the indication if you supplement with vitamins while your dog is young and healthy, rather than waiting for your dog to get sick or show the usual signs of aging and degeneration.<br><br>So let’s start with a little lesson on the cause, and effects, of disease. …<br><br>Disease is a process which gradually debilitates the cells of an organism. The organism may be you, or me, or your dog (or mine!)<br><br>Debilitated cells are unable to rebuild, regenerate and repair damage which inevitably occurs just through the fact of being alive and moving day by day closer to the end of life. Of course, much greater damage can be caused by poor nutrition or other dietary deficiencies or excesses, environmental poisons, physical and/or emotional stress or insufficient excercise. In short, anything which pushes the organism past its optimum capacity, or causes it to fall short of its optimum capacity, can and will cause damage and will debilitate the cells.<br><br>Do you ever supplement your own diet and lifestyle with vitamins and/or minerals?<br><br>Me too.<br><br>But you know what? It didn’t occur to me that my beautiful dogs would benefit from a good vitamin supplement until recent years. <br><br>I always (wrongly) assumed that if I gave my dogs a largely natural diet of raw meat and bones, with the occasional addition of steamed vegetables and rice or pasta, and with a morning snack of a small handful of commercial dry dog food, my dogs would always remain in tip top health.<br><br>Luckily for me, I was on the right track, and my dogs have always been very healthy. My vet routinely compliments me on their great teeth and gums and wonderful general health.<br><br>But as they started getting past their prime, some health concerns started popping up. Kara, my Rottweiler, started developing arthritis and the effects of hip dysplasia (which she’s had since very young, but without any symptoms). Similar to my own parents (who’re well into their 60’s), Kara started to look a bit older and stiffer when she moved, and especially when she got up after lying still for a while.<br><br>So I started Kara on a dog vitamin supplement. And, oh, what a difference! It took a few weeks to kick in, but once I’d found the right dose and the vitamins started to show their effects, Kara appeared more youthful – less stiff – and she didn’t look so uncomfortable when moving around. It really has done wonders.<br><br>And still I didn’t "get it" in general terms. Because Kara clearly had a problem, I decided to treat it with a supplement. But I didn’t think to treat Jet, my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, as well, which I should have done just to keep her in tip top health even though she had no specific problems back then. Besides which, Kara takes her vitamins in tablet form, and you may recall that Jet is a tablet nightmare!<br><br>But when Jet was also diagnosed with the early stages of a degenerative disease – gradual loss of her eyesight – the penny finally dropped. I thought "Why on earth am I not giving Jet a vitamin supplement as well?" So I use a tablet crusher and mix the crushed tablet with peanut butter. Yes, these tablets crush pretty well. And Jet eats them! I have to admit that she still looks suspiciously at the concoction each day, but the lure of the peanut butter usually gets the better of her!<br><br>Nowadays I absolutely swear by dog vitamins. I really don’t know why I didn’t think them necessary long ago. But better late than never. <br><br>And my dogs are now in peak health even though they’re both coming up to 9 years old.<br><br>Do you want your dog to enjoy peak health?<br><br><A href="http://www.HealthyHappyDogs.com/Vitamins"target=_blank>Click Here for more Pet Vitamin information!</A><br><br>(c) 2005, Brigitte Smith, Healthy Happy Dogs<br><br>Brigitte Smith is a dog lover with a special interest in holistic dog health.
